The podcast
A history of Romania is a narrative podcast telling the tale of how Romania came to be and exploring Romanian self-identity. My aim is to include into the narrative all the peoples who have lived in the region, and take you through the centuries as the individuals at the time lived them.
The story is divided into five seasons:
- Beginnings, covering prehistory to the year 602
- Foundations, 602 to 1396
- Burgeonings, 1396 to 1774
- Unifications, 1774 to 1919
- Identities, 1919 to 2007

The storyteller
My name is Arthur, and I was born in Romania. I spent most of my childhood there before my family immigrated to Canada, and I now live in Montreal.
With this podcast, I seek to share the stories of the individuals and communities from that little part of the world from which I came. Above all, I hope you enjoy the story.
